The largest of all cats, the amur tiger is orange with dark blackish brown stripes, with a white chest and belly, and a thick white ruff of fur around its neck. They have very keen eyesight, sharp hearing, and good sense of smell. Tigers can run at speeds of up to 35 mph and are also excellent swimmers. When the Tiger wants to be heard, they have several vocal noises. They have a roar that can be heard 3-½ miles away. They also give out with some grunts and several other kinds of “chuffs” and grumbles.
