What is a Homework Center?
A homework center provides a safe and structured after-school environment where certified teachers help elementary school students develop good study habits while completing their homework assignments. While the focus can be on homework, centers have the option of combining homework assignments with mini lessons on curriculum standards for math, reading and test taking skills. The centers open immediately following the school day for 1-1/2 hours, Mondays through Thursdays.
